So - Whats a Finance Business Partner ?

Back in the 80's and 90's we were defined as "commercial"management accountants - these days the description Finance Business Partner has become the acknowledged term to describe what we do.

Basically an FBP is a switched on and business savvy Accountant - comfortable operating in a non finance environment and adding true value to a business through their financial and business experience ....think proactive vs reactive

• Accountants save money for a business and protect value (hopefully!)

• FBPs make money for a business and add value (definitely!)

That's about it for the short version ! .....
